China Steel Corp. (CSC), the largest carbon steelmaker in Taiwan has informed its customers to release leeway in May. It’s learned that CSC postponed releasing leeway into Taiwanese market in April in order to lower the pressure of sell-off even though the company announced to cut its leeway prices by NT$600~NT$800/ton for April. In May, CSC planned to release around 10,000 tons of soft hot rolled steel products and 18,000 tons of cold rolled steel products. Also, it’s said that CSC might reduce its leeway prices further by NT$500~NT$600/ton for May.
