French auto parts maker Faurecia has reported consolidated sales of EUR4.08bn for the third quarter of 2012 an increase of 7.9% compared to EUR3.78bn for the same period in 2011.
Product sales of the company for the quarter were up by 3.2% to EUR3.21bn compared to EUR2.86bn for the same period prior year.
The increase in product sales also includes EUR135.8m resulting from a change in scope, of which EUR112.8m generated by the Ford plant in Saline.
According to reports, automobile production slowdown is expected to increase during the fourth quarter of 2012.
For the full year 2012, the company expects an operating income above EUR500m, compared to an estimated operating income between EUR560 and EUR610m in July 2012.
