Cold rolling refers to the production mode of rolling below the recrystallization temperature. During cold rolling, dynamic recrystallization will not occur. When the temperature rises to the recovery temperature at most, the cold rolling will appear work hardening state. The work hardening rate is high. The cold rolled strip has high dimensional accuracy, good surface quality, uniform structure and properties. Products in various states can be obtained with heat treatment.

It refers to the rolled products with rectangular cross section, uniform thickness and greater than 0.2mm obtained by cold rolling. Usually the edges are cut lengthwise and delivered in rolls.
